Heart + Mind: Yoga Psychology (54hr)

With Chandra Michelle Tracy

March 23 - April 29, 2018

Heart + Mind: Yoga Psychology is a foundational course that teaches the theory, methods, and practices of blending yoga and psychology. Through yogic practices such as asana, mantra, meditation, kriyas and pranayama, along with studies and experiences in Somatic Psychology, Depth, Jungian work, and Transpersonal methods and practices, students will explore how to hold a psychologically informed yoga practice and yoga class. Students will move through their own psychological material seeped and held in the tradition of yoga, to deepen their own experience as a practitioner and as a teacher or healer.

This course is for: (1) yoga instructors who wish to offer a psychologically informed yoga practice to themselves and/or their students; (2) therapists who wish to bring yoga into their sessions and groups; and (3) advanced yogis on their own quest towards wholeness.

A yoga or meditation practice is preferred but not required for this introductory level course.
